Recap | The Pop Up Flea

The first ever A Continuous Goldberg Pop Up Flea (known in some circles for better or worse as the Man Flea) was by all measures (including High life consumption) a rousing success. Thanks to all of the vendors who participated and everyone that stopped by. On top of all the tasty merch, we had a lot of my favorite bloggers in the house, guys like (and I’m probably missing a few) Sean from The Impossible Cool, Tom from The Scout Mag, Sasha from The Pint Imperial, Russell from Kempt, Andrew from Covenger + Kester, Jeff from Cold Splinters, Morty from Mister Mort, The Trad, Brandon from Drinkin’ and Dronin’, plus the good folks from Racked and

A big thanks from Randy and I to all that came to shop, hang out and support. Look forward to more good things from A Continuous Goldberg.

The weekend sounded like a smashing success. I’m saddened that I currently reside in fly-over-country and could not attend. Keep up the good work.

    Chris on June 29, 2009 6:23 PM:

In our defense, those “well edited” photos of Kirk and I are after a long day, a lot of the High Life and numerous Shandy’s! A great time was had by all.

STREET ETIQUETTE on June 29, 2009 6:24 PM:

Hey Michael it was a pleasure meeting all of you guys, this idea turned into something I would visit everytime if it took place lol. Shout out to Randy and yourself for hosting this.

I did a little post on it also which was featured on selectism below

Looks like you guys had a great time. Looks like you guys achieved that “bunch of cool guys hangin out” vibe. ACL, can you please spearhead a L.A version of this someday soon? Maybe we can get Mr Freedom, Apolis Activism involved too! That would be pretty kick ass no?

Michael Williams on June 29, 2009 6:33 PM:

Check the Street Etiquette dudes in that picture looking dapper! Thanks for the link and the coverage. Valet had some great photos as well, better than mine (sorry I was busy).

Also, there is a strong possibility that we are going to roll this piece out to LA and do it to it. Expect that sooner rather than later…

    Thom on June 29, 2009 7:17 PM:

Looks like a great time, and an idea that I hope gains purchase around these here parts.

Sam Jacobs on June 29, 2009 7:37 PM:

Nice to meet you too, Michael…

All sarcasm aside, I did not leave empty handed. I picked up a sweet copy of the 1972 Mets yearbook., and had a nice, quick conversation with Kirk from Billykirk.

Great job organizing! Hopefully I’ll be better funded by the next one!

    BA on June 29, 2009 10:05 PM:

    Justin on June 29, 2009 10:08 PM:

Looks like a really cool, well-curated event. Sorry for being so trainspotter-ish, but does anyone know what kind of boots Kirk Bray is wearing in the denim apron photo? They’re really nice. The Red Wing Heritage Work Chukka maybe?

Looks like there were army soldiers being projected on the wall in back.

I’m curious, what was that image from? A movie or some sort of slide show?
