Things are moving along over at the ACL newsletter and it feels good to be publishing regularly again. In the event you haven’t been following along, I wanted to cross-post some of the links to stories here. Much of this is subscriber-only content as the site is purely reader supported now. That means no sponsored content, no affiliate links, and no games — everything is very much user-centric.
The newsletter format has been wonderful for me and I think has sparked a lot of creativity and writing. Just knowing that I am speaking with people who all are opted-in and there on purpose. It feels more intimate and allows me to be more open with what I am thinking and feeling.
Also, my second podcast is live with GQ Editor-in-Chief Will Welch. We had a very candid conversation about our collective relationship with consumerism, the future of menswear, and the way media is changing. It really turned out wonderfully and I’m happy to be in the podcast game just to have these types of bigger, more meaningful conversations.
Story links:
Notes on Empathy, an Interview with writer Lauren Sherman, everything ACL was and is about — Buying for Value, wonderful new shoes from Leffot x Horween x Rancourt, a follow-up to a story I wrote in 2009 Checking in with Battenwear, a conversation with Corridor, of my favorite brands and finally A visit to Post Ranch Inn + many more things.
One last thing, as a way to add value, David Coggins and I are bundling the ACL newsletter and all of the stories from The Contender into one subscription called Central Division. As part of this, we also do a weekly podcast for members. Our latest episode is below and open to all on Spotify. Thanks for following along and hope to see you around.
