Taylor Supply AW11

The folks at Taylor Supply Co. have been hard at work on the next phase of their grown menswear brand. When I say “folks” I really mean Christophe Hascoat, who is the founder, designer, marketing guy, sales rep and everything else all rolled into one. Hascoat left his corporate design job to follow his dream and start his own label with Taylor Supply a few years back. I’ve had the chance to meet Christophe at various trade shows and events and am really impressed with what he has built all on his own. Taylor Supply is a small brand, but one that has fought the good fight and grown purely through effort of it’s founder. The companies I really love are the ones that boot strap and make great things – Taylor Supply being exactly that.

The sales and distribution mission of Taylor Supply have shifted a bit this fall with a refresh of the brand and company website – which relaunched in the past few weeks. The collection is focused on outerwear, but the company also sells a selection of wovens and knit shirts. Also, it is worth mentioning that the collection is entirely designed and produced in New York City. It is impressive to see what Christophe has accomplished in the past few years with Taylor Supply and I can only hope all of the hard work continues to pay off in the form of great product. Christophe did not build Taylor Supply all on his own. David Alperin of Goose Barnacle was also involved initially

I’m not usually a fan of corduroy jackets but I like the cuffs on this one quite a bit. Looks like suede?

It was nice to see Orvis picked up some Taylor Supply items to distribute for their “made in USA” campaign. The herringbone hunting jacket is very nice.

I think this is one of my favorite lines this fall. Edited to amplify and incredibly cohesive. I just bought the Squadron Jacket from Goosebarnacle and I could not be happier. Great work.

Christophe did build it on his own. David Alperin just did sales. He did not have anything to do with design or funding of the brand

This is interesting. I heard Taylor Supply was canceling most of its production. If that’s the word from various shops, then how/why is ACL promoting it? I mean, I admire TS’s stuff but if it’s not available…

Ive seen their stuff on orvis…

I have TS’s 20s inspired jacket from AW2010. The product is excellent and it would be shame if they aren’t making many lines, as suggested above…
