Wants & Desires | Best Made Co. Waxed Cruiser

You have to hand it to the Best Made Co.

Not only have they received spectacular amounts of press and attention for their signature axes, basically everything the company touches (the brand’s website, the axes and even the graphic prints) look stunningly well designed. Not to stop there, Best Made continues to bring the hits when it comes to develop and launching new products. The newest such release –the Light Waxed Cruiser– is a handsome jacket which is perfect for spring. And it’s well priced at $348, considering it is made in the U.S.

There are few brands around that have more all-around style and as clear of a vision as Best Made Co. I appreciate their approach and aesthetic quite a bit. I like the axes and think they are beautiful, though part of me can’t ever really accept them fully. If you actually went out to the woods and used them, it would sort of be a shame to dirty up such a beautiful and expensive thing. But then again, if you hang them in your office you are rubbing up against a serious case of “Heritage Man”, which probably sounds pretty funny coming from a guy like me. It would just be too cliché to hang one of those things up.

Though saying all of that, I’m happy Best Made has continued to evolve and grow and I remain in awe of what they have built and how they have developed. It all seems to come from a genuine and sincere place, which makes me only admire them more. [BEST MADE CO.]

Nice jacket. But what I really want is that hat. Anyone know the brand?

I’m currently considering a Barbour purchase, which fits my Canadian-English family heritage… still, it’s a shame Best Made isn’t doing women’s styles, too. Good sensibility here.

Excellent company and they stand by their axe quality. Buy one of their axes, not only will you look legit posting photos of yourself holding it on tumblr, but they are well made and actually work for cutting down trees!
$150 bones for a quality felling axe isn’t that expensive considering a small Estwing sportsman will set you back $40.
    The jacket looks sweet too!
