Quality Goods With No Obsolescence | Pop Up Flea IV

The time is upon us, the fourth ever Pop Up Flea is happening this weekend in New York City. We’ve got 30+ vendors participating (brand list below), all but ensuring that there’s something for everybody. To give you an idea of what to expect, we made a little video highlighting just a few of the folks you will see at the flea.

During the process of assembling the roster, my cohort Randy Goldberg and I were guided by the conviction of quality goods with no obsolescence. We think we’ve exceeded our original goal, but we’ll let you be the judge. We will be at 159 Bleecker Street Friday, Saturday and Sunday – hope to see you there.

If you can’t make it, follow the action live on the Twitters via @pop_up_flea. Music (from the video): Middle Brother “Blue Eyes” Courtesy of Partisan Records.

Excellent Middle Brother song. This blog and my appreciation for quality American goods and antiques is kinda like my dirty little secret. I started visiting ACL daily about 2 years ago in the midst of a pretty rough semester while I was getting my physics degree. I grew up working on a Living History Farm and I developed a deep attachment to heritage American tools, clothing and crafts of all eras. No matter how bad my day is going I know that I can go to ACl and find M. Williams highlighting some unique contemporary product or re-illuminating a treasured part of history.

“I always try to come prepared with a little irish whiskey.”
It’s amazing what you do with the pop up flea. Keep up the good work!

Checked it out on Saturday morning. My credit card is a bit raw but I’m better for it. You put on a good show sir.

I was in town this weekend with the family and I told my wife that I would go along with whatever she wanted to do as long as she would let me stop in at the pop up flea.

Totally worth it. It was amazing. I’m still recapping in my head all the amazing merchandise I saw. My wife said that she finally “got it” once we walked in. We even picked her up a new bag from LL Bean Signature.

    Great job Michael.

I’m disappointed in you, Mike. Irish Whiskey? There’s plenty of wonderful Bourbon made right here in the USA. Eagle Creek, for starters.

this was the first pop-up flea that i purposely skipped. i just didnt feel like having a bunch of so-called ‘men’ gawk at my clothes wondering where i got my shit (none of which is made in america by some old man mill by the way).
