Official Announcement: The Pop Up Flea

It’s that time of year again, time for the Pop Up Flea in New York. Let this be the official announcement of the line up, dates and other pertinent information. The third incarnation of the Pop Up Flea should prove to be the best one yet – a menswear gathering with all sorts of good people involved. Our (Randy Goldberg and myself) goal was to make the best men’s shop in NYC for a weekend. The event is only part flea market (vendors take up booth space and manage their own shop) and is only part pop up shop. Most of the items sold are new, but we also have several vintage dealers with a variety of quality used stuff. Over the weekend long meeting-of-the-menswear-minds there will be a great selection from a lot of cool brands and a bunch of exclusive items. We will also have a group of our favorite designers on hand for everyone to meet. All in all it should be a lot of fun for everyone involved.

The Pop Up Flea: Friday November 19th (3-9pm), Saturday the 20th (11am-7pm) and Sunday the 21st (11am-6pm)

Openhouse Gallery at 201 Mulberry Street (btw Spring and Kenmare) NYC

Vendors include: Oak Street Bootmakers, J.W Hulme, Levi’s Vintage Clothing, L.L. Bean Signature, Smith + Butler, Tellason, Billykirk, Aether, Tanner Goods, Scout Original, Wooden Sleepers, Riviera Club, Alexander Olch, Gant, Oliver Spencer, The Hill-Side / Hickoree’s Hard Goods, Grown & Sewn, Stanley & Sons, J.Crew, Gitman Brothers Vintage, Schott NYC, Digby & Iona, Alexander West, Leather Head / Lemon Ball + a few other surprises.

Cary Randolph on November 15, 2010 7:06 PM:

For the (many) female fans of ACL, I know for a fact that Schott will be bringing some lady-sized Perfecto Brand treats.

    Rudy on November 18, 2010 3:36 PM:

J.Crew , Seriously ? That kinda ruins the look.

    R4L on November 18, 2010 9:12 PM:

Will Oak Street have any size 13?

    Thomas on November 19, 2010 9:28 AM:

I agree with Rudy on J.Crew – very generic.

    HK on November 19, 2010 11:33 AM:

How is JCrew considered generic and Schott not? A bit over critical, don’t you think?

    Joe on November 19, 2010 9:33 PM:

Because J. Crew steals its ideas from the truly creative types and mass markets, while acting like they are cool for finding it.
