Comin’ into Los Ang-e-les

Comin’ into Los Ang-e-les, not bringing in a couple of keys.

I’ll be out in California for a little more than a week to get some work done and to visit some ACL related things. Stayed tuned for what I hope will be regular updates and follow my sun-soaked and heavily-liquored thoughts as they happen via the ACL Twitter.

“Comin’ into Los Ang-e-les, not bringing in a couple of keys.”

Remove the “not”. It goes “bringing in a couple of keys”.

JG – I know the lyrics. I changed it as I’m not traveling with two bricks of coke. Get a grip.

Have a great time here – the weather is taking a turn for the fantastic. Shoot me a note if you have some free time and are in the Santa Monica area.

Wait…does that photo depict blue skies in LA?
    How odd.

    Mister Ken,

That is probably an accurate representation of the color of the sky in the early 60’s. I remember the weekly smog alerts in elementary school. We couldn’t go outside to play because your lungs would hurt so bad. Good times ;)

I remember the smog alerts. I remember the lung pain. But it hasn’t been like that in years and years. I’m looking out of my office window in Santa Monica right now and the sky is even more brilliantly blue than in any of those vintage photos.
