Ross Mckenny is amazing. I get to do the woodchopping as I am on the woodsmen team here. Did a DOC trip my freshman year, and this summer did trail work on the parts of the AT Dartmouth maintains. Growing up in Billings MT, he has very clear memories of how amazing Dartmouth looked after watching this in his high school gym. Apparently his stereotypically gruff gym teacher ripped him out of class to watch it along with a few other students since the Dartmouth recruiters were around for a short while before heading to...well who knows where. He ended up choosing a competing school in the league, but I've always been curious to see this for myself. Awesome find overall. Thank you. It is nice to see academically 'smart' men who are also athletic. Is it just me or was the icing on the cake seeing participants in khaki? Simple tools, lots of fun, casual classic clothes. No fancy tents, or "breathable" clothing needed. Great. Thank you. Too bad that some intellectuals look down on sports and athletics.
