Cuffs is the kind of place “where everybody knows your name.” Even if you are just browsing, you always feel like you are getting the utmost in attentiveness and service. The place is just great, it’s timeless, really. Forgo buying ten pieces at a dept. store and buy one piece at Cuffs, you will be thankful you did as you’ll have it for 15 plus years. I have a custom suit from there that I’ll probably wear to the grave. Also, the store has an amazing wine collection.

I used to try to sell to these guys back when I was in the apparel business in the early ’90s. Great store.

During my college years in the early to mid 80′s, I work at a store very much like this called W.A. King in Santa Barbara

Sadly, these old school haberdasheries have been swallowed up by the big box stores, insane rents and global mega brands

We had a lot of fun and the business was filled with a vast array of folks from interesting to completely whacked. I doubt that that old whole road rep thing even exists anymore

Perhaps the worst thing about the decline / disappearance of these stores is corresponding decline in the quality of the products that are produced.

If I was loaded and had the time perhaps I would blaze my own trail

Great post. This place was a fixture of my youth, as I grew up just down the street from Cuffs. If you’re a guy who cares about his appearance and lives anywhere near Cleveland, you have to make this a regular spot for yourself. Forget Beachwood Mall and Legacy Village, this is where a real man shops! Like the post said, Cuffs carries a plethora of labels and the staff will gladly (and knowledgeably) help you find what you’re looking for. Although, I no longer live in Chagrin, I make it a point to stop by whenever I’m home, if for nothing else but to soak in the atmosphere. It’s great to see a place like this get the press and credit it deserves. Bravo.
