They were real good live and the album is pretty solid....i was thinking understated hair rock from the 80s but i could be crazy. They were good, with this early-90s Samiam-type sound, but the real winner was their opener Royal Bangs. Keep an eye out (I think they're on the Black Keys' guy's label).
