Some Things I Saw at an Apparel Trade Show (Part II)

A few more photos from spring / summer 2010 goods that were spotted out in Las Vegas for the Project / Capsule trade shows. As I looked through my pictures I noticed that I have an unhealthy obsession with woven shirts and ice cream. Oh, and tequilla.

A look at Gant SS10

I wish I would have taken a video of Mister Mort bugging out over this Japanese guy’s outfit. It was classic. Mort is really good at the whole street style thing. Maybe the photos he took will end up on his site.

I have to get some of the Vael Project boots. I need ’em now.

    gary on September 8, 2009 4:21 PM:

It almost looks like they faked working buttons by having the last button permanently unbuttoned. If this be true, then wow, bold move.

I wasn’t sure about the Mark McNairy fun shirts until I saw it on someone in the above picture. Now I really want one……. or several.

    Chris on September 8, 2009 9:14 PM:

The Gant jacket workable buttons are very much for real.
Those babys are done at Portugal’s finest producer of constructed garments, it’s all cricket, trust me.

I love that functioning buttons with colored threading on blazers are being offered more and more now on off the rack.

This trade show looked like a great time. Thanks for sharing!!

How do you not get jaded/bored when all of these lines are going for the same thing? Not that I DISLIKE any of it, really, but what makes Gant better/different than McNairy, or Relwen better/different than J Crew?
