Just came across this posting on the internet. I bought this Bronco pictured above back in September. Been having a blast driving around. I can't go anywhere without getting comments about it. You just don't see many of these around anymore. My 16 year old daughter loves it. She would rather drive it than our new (much newer) cars. One of the boys in the neighborhood says it's the coolest car in town. Gotta love it.

Wow,

I had my eye on one, but after some recent moving expenses from overseas my budget went down. Managed to find an '87 Land Cruiser that fit the budget. Working with Greg from Vintage Offroad in Arizona. It's being painted Desert Tan, and I am putting a crude looking black brushguard on it. I told him to make it look like something a banana republic general would have. Add some flag holders in the front (with 35 star Union Flags), and its going to be fun to drive and easy to fix, if not as butter as one of these. Not Americana, but we do what we can.

P.S. Was originally going to put some Republic of Texas flags on it, but the wacko Obama haters have ruined that....

Michael, I guess I just can't get excited about this model as the rest of the commenters. It looks like they put this on a car chassis. When you compare to the Bronco II, there certainly is no comparison. Compare it to the muscle cars...
Don't get me wrong, kudos to the guy for keeping this in Primo shape (although 25k is a little steep). I just can't get excited about it. I'd feel the same way if this were a Ford Pinto.
 But thanks for posting it!

Mike, I miss the shimmy too. Both kinds. Worked at a local fishing lake in H.S. and a sweet, red and white Scout was the work truck and I miss all the character, idiosyncrasies and good times associated with that thing.
