ACL Exclusive | RRL Bowery Boot

You have to hand it to the folks at RRL, when they do something they do it right. Through my thorough detective work I got my hands on photos of a limited edition pair of bench-made leather boots. As one would expect from RRL, all of the bona fides are present and accounted for. Made in the USA from Horween leather with vintage deadstock Cat Paw heels. The super small quantity (multiple dozens) will be available mid to late August at RRL stores for $750. Rumor is each shop will get a few pairs and that is it, so if you want them you have your work cut out for you. More photos after the jump.

Real stunners and Cats Paw heels to boot!

Those are a truly a thing of beauty! Way out of my price range (barring I win the lottery), but probably well worth it.

Great boots, but given the Wolverine 1000K boots just hit shelves, I’m not sure these similarly styled RRLs are worth an additional $500. Not denying the beauty though.

That is a great retro look. The toe is just like my Army jump boots. Sometimes the best things in life are from our past.
    Thanks Michael

I have had some boots custom made from one of the gentleman involved in the making of this boot…. very impressive work. If my boots are any indication, these will feel as good in the hand and on the foot as they look in pictures.

Have you ever considered putting women’s wear on your american list. We need one. Thanks.

I have honestly never considered it. Leslie from Archival Clothing should be in charge of that, she’s the expert!

any idea who’s manufacturing these boots for RL?

    kodouon July 16, 2009 @ 9:52 PM:

    I second Archival clothing.
Your sites would make a good pairing for a his and hers list.

I work for Ralph Lauren as an artist in Manhattan and I have the pleasure of owning a pair of these baby’s and I really must say that they are truly one of a kind art.
