…when it’s really hot and looks like your trying to stay cool and beat the heat, it definitely does NOT look contrived. I don’t know about New York, but in Austin it’s almost a necessity to roll up your pants a little because of the heat. If style is a reflection of your environment then I think this might be a style more appropriate for warmer climates in informal situations. Anywhere else, and I could see how it would look more like a cheesy trend…
