One Trip Pass | Shotgun Test

There is a lot of talk about gentlemen shoppers drinking fine bourbon at Billy Reid. Well, last night at Ned Martel and Jay Carroll’s geniusly merchandised vintage shop / Americana explosion One Trip Pass, the drinking was taken to the next level when a group of grown men decided to shotgun a beer in the store. Video proof below. Do try this at home.

It was great meeting you, Michael. It’s too bad I missed out on the shotgun; I was wondering why I didn’t see anyone roll up their sleeves for the proper way to treat a can of beer!

There were some pretty cool “street styles” at One Trip Pass.

alright, this might be hotter than Old Spice.

american flag curtains + truck drivin’ man background music + shotguns = win.

As a friend put it, “What a great phrase, ‘a group of grown men decided to shotgun a beer.'”

I guess there is something to be said about getting to parties early. Great group of like minded folks.

Looks like their college days are well behind them, that was a bit slow!

Shotguning beers always reminds me of The Sure Thing, one of my favorite movies of all-time. Conan O’Brien had James Lipton shotgun a beer on his show in honor of the film.

Reports of shotgun mention on ACL hit my radar from England. Brilliant. Just sad I wasn’t there to partake in the fraternal experience but glad to know I’m not the only adult that still enjoys the practice of shotgunning a beer. Hope I was there in spirit at least, MW. Unfortunately I’m surrounded by canned beer and the Brits aren’t nearly as open to the concept. Cheers mate!

JoMo you were 100% the motivation and inspiration behind that shotgun. We did it in your honor. In fact, I left one beer unopened on the table as a gesture of good will. Have fun over there and see you soon!

Mr. Williams, honored. Truly. My goal over here is to get Patrick Grant to shotgun one with with me under the Savile Row street sign.. for you.

I’m going to take it upon myself to show you girls how to properly shotgun a beer the next time we hang out. Bonus points for Jared taking a shot of Tecate directly to the eye. ESPN instant classic all the way.

Now I am a little disappointed that the few times that I actually go to NY I had to miss out on that. Hope it was fun.
