Is it really appropriate for a grown man to walk around carrying a tote bag?
I really like this site and most of the posts are pretty interesting, but carrying a tote bag may be taking it a bit too far.
Exit question: Is the metrosexual a creation of the economic boom of the past decade? If our economy continues to suffer will the metrosexual decline with it?
It is indeed appropriate. The best one I’ve ever seen (and still covet) was printed for the antique dealer Isreal Sack. They are the perfect bags to hold all the required tools of a preview day… measuring tape, mini maglite, note book, auction catalog.

Yikes! The idea that a tote bag is somehow feminine or inappropriate…I feel like I’m back in catholic school (Or reading a six year old Gawker article).
This is a great looking bag, all the embellishments appear top notch. Plus its Japanese. They do everything but rap music better than us.
why not just buy a klein, jameson, or one of the other dozen or so american made tool bags that look just like this?

I can say: I have the most straight-laced (in terms of dressing) and preppy husband. He loves his chinos and when he travels, is always sure to pack his ties in their specific case.
He would LOVE this bag to use as a carry-on when he flies or weekend trips to his grandparent’s camp. Living in Houston, there is no need for a man to carry a bag of any sort (we drive everywhere and our cars are sort of our “bags”), but I could see this getting so much use in other ways. Too bad it’s not available stateside!
Thank god I’m so short I can carry a tote bag without fear of reprisal from tall, manly men – they’ll just think I’m a child. Lovely choice as always.

a perfect bag, the spray/stenciled logo is an unfortunate element, but otherwise great material use and detail.
I’m kind of with Beeks – the bag’s a bit girly.
Nice bag, but unless a person is paying union dues and needs to lug around tools all day, a bag like this is a bit much for everyday use. It’s bad enough that so many of us women have been infected with Big Bag Syndrome, you guys don’t need to join the madness.

You have me totally wrong, old son. I can wax lyrical about clothing and accessories better than most . I’m telling you – the bag’s a bit girly.
This sort of piece always confuses me a little…While I think the purpose of the canvas material is clear–something that should be used without too much care and fairly often–the leather straps seem to suggest exactly the opposite. I’m not sure when I’d use it, but it’s beautiful all the same.
It’s a pleasant enough object, but I’ve only found these genuinely practical for books or groceries. For tools, not so much, and real tools would chew this up pretty quickly.
Otherwise, arguably twee.
