Just the Facts Please

I like the way the magazines work in Japan. The focus is generally on still-life product pages and not on cluttering up the layout with pesky stories. I had a chance to make it to the bookstore and pick up some new magazines from Japan. Since I am feeling crunchy these days, I really enjoyed the outdoor product pages in GO OUT. A lot of The American List brands are represented throughout the book. Enjoy!

Yeah buddy! Good drop Michael. I got those Danner’s Lites on the top right in tan suede with red laces but get this…with the white work boot soles! I’m the man! Actually they are so stiff they almost break your damn feet. I would never actually wear them hiking of course.

I just found my dad’s Sierra Designs ski jacket from ’75 in the basement, still functional and cool. He was showing me all of the mending he’s done over the years and concluded, as we all do, that they just don’t make them like they used to. The new standard answer is, They do in Japan!

You guys always get the best pubs in New York. I can’t find any Japanese fashion magazines in LA.
