It has been a pretty cold fall in New York thus far. Walking to work this morning all I could think about was the fact that I am running low on inspiration and that it is freaking cold. So with that in mind, I put together some things that I wish I were wearing this chilly Friday. Descriptions after the jump.

These all look great — note the black fleece sale on gilt groupe btw — but would the toggle coat be warm? Finding a warm, dressy coat is a serious challenge.
The black watch waxed cotton toggle coat is incredible.

505s from Japan. Its nearly impossible to find good jeans shot flat (which is important for the layout of this). But the Japanese love to shoot stills on white backgrounds…

in lieu of the japanese 505’s (which are beautiful but hard to get) is strongly recommend Rugby’s raw denim. they fit like APCs but with no stacking at the leg and a slightly roomier leg for the classic, collegiate look. and with the sale at rugby they’re only $50!

I haven’t tried Black Fleece oxford’s yet, are they as roomy as BB’s “slim-fit”?
I waited to long to pull the trigger on the Hickey Blackwatch coat and now the large size coats are out of stock. I was thinking of buying a medium or XL. How is the fit and which way should I go?
I went with the XL. I’m 6′ and 190. I was told that it should fit fine. I also told them that ACL sent me.
