There are plenty of practical and rugged clothes, if it's practical and rugged you want, from brands without the same storied pedigree. I also suppose there's no reason to mention the perennially-popular Dickies. ALSO-- Since when do Sperry Top-Siders count as "work wear"? There are classic clothes that are work clothes, but not all classic clothes are work clothes. I'd hardly equate J. Press with an auto mechanic's overalls. Some "classic" brands are classic preppie or classic suburban dad brands. Maybe there's a revival of work clothes, maybe there's a revival of classic clothes, maybe there's a revival of classic work cloths. But those categories are not interchangeable.
