Further Proof

As if you needed more evidence as to the coolness of the J. Crew Liquor Store. I stopped by the TriBeCa shop with a friend this past Friday afternoon. After pursuing the goods we stood out front chatting with some friends we bumped into. Next thing you know, none other than Mr. John Slattery aka Roger Sterling rides up on his bike, locks it to a post and wanders in. Mr. Slattery looked just as I would have expected, tall, thin and silver-haired, wearing dark denim jeans and a blue jacket. Not easily star struck, it took every ounce of my restraint not to ask Mr. Slattery for a picture. The only way the sighting could have been better would be to see the actor dining at 21, dressed in a three-piece suit. That sort of real life Mad Men action would definitely require photographic proof.

Roger Sterling is pure cool on Mad Men. He should have walked away with the Emmy. You must have been close to cool overdose with combination of Slattery and Crew on the same NY block.

Last Sunday’s episode hinted that Roger was having an affair with Don Draper’s very lovely new secretary Jane. What a guy!
