Hi Michael,
I’ve also been looking for a Muxtape replacement. I thought Favtape might be it but I couldn’t stand the excessive amount of cruft and linkage.

Finally came across Mixtube (http://mixtube.org) and I think this might be it. It piggybacks on Youtube to provide the audio so you’ll know the music loads fast. It could still use some polish but so far I like it out of all the Muxtape descendants out there.

I love being able to see and instantly play the top songs by year. There’s even a link to the lyrics under each song.

But I still miss muxtape’s clean layout.
