Recently, I have devoted an unusually large amount of time and energy to doing reconnaissance for an upcoming trip to Japan. I am really looking forward to my purely consumer, non-work related adventure to Tokyo where I will be on the look out for all sorts of cool American (or American inspired) stuff.
While doing said research I came across a neat Japanese store called Gospel Brunch (natch!), which offers a cool mix of vintage and new products. Some of my favorites are pictured below. I would suggest that you visit the Free & Easy Rugged Museum. On display are original and reproductions of American work wear and military gear. I’ve never actually been, but I have the issue of Free & Easy that covers its openning. It looks pretty impressive with exhibits changing monthly.

is a nice small boutique with some great selection of men’s clothes and beautiful antique furniture. It’s very old american, I think. They carry a japanese brand called “Haver Sack”, which I really like.
