Well, on a second look, I do agree with you on the girl on the gray puffer: not too bad. And I will say that I hope as much as you that Gap is able to turn the corner and start selling clothes that are worth buying again.

The looks here are probably not completely representative of the change that's (hopefully) to come with Patrick Robinson at the helm. I found that for years the Gap was guilty of some insane vanity sizing, for example, and cuts that were really only meant for professional couch potatoes. A little updating of classics, a little tinkering with shape and proportion, and a sensibility that extends just a bit past rumpled shirt and unflattering jeans will make a huge difference for the Gap, I think.

There definitely could have been a woven thrown in the mix there, but I'm a fan of Patrick Robinson and I think the brand has turned a corner. But I hear you on the excessive use of knits.

I might also have been influenced by the girl in the grey puffer. That's how I want my girlfriend to look.

Regards,
ACL

I'm not so sure I agree with you about the looks from The Gap. Obviously Gap had its heyday in the 80s and that could likely serve as inspiration for a comeback, but those outfits look a little too 80s to me, and not in a good way. Besides, a cardigan over a cardigan over a t-shirt: who thought that was a good idea?
