I’ve been buying Pointer since Levi’s left town. Whatever isn’t in stock is worth waiting for, believe me. I have different styles of jeans; denim, duck, fisher stripe, and a duck coat and am satisfied with all. If there is one company that I recommend to folks, It’s Pointer.

I got a denim work apron from them about 6 months back and wear it whenever I am in the kitchen. Impenetrable. Quick and great service as well.

Yes, The fisher stripe and hickory stripe carpenter pants are great.
I purchased a pair of each a few years back.
Pointer’s denim is a bit on the lighter-weight side… not super sturdy like Carhartt or Levi, but still a good product.
And in my experience, the sizes are true-to-size… didn’t have any trouble there.
Have received many compliments on the hickory stripes (like a classic Osh-Kosh engineer stripe)… and the Fisher stripe is a herringbone look.

Buy American!

U.S. made workwear is increasingly hard to find. You could try workwear from companies like Union Line. Carhartt does still make some styles in the U.S.A. You would it made here by having a U in front of the style number.

This post must be a sign! I´ve been trying to order Pointer carpenter pants for the last week, but for some reason the site doesnt work for me (the site could use a make over…). Obviously I should keep trying.

Are you sure the pants run small? Measurements from japanese sites like Jalana and Explorer seem to be true to size.

The fisher stripe and hickory stripe carpenter pants look outstanding aswell, but are unfortunatly out in normal sizes.

i read this post on friday, then yesterday i was flipping through an old gq and read something where Junya Watanabe worked with pointer brand in 2006 for the spring collection. thought that was pretty cool.
