Yes, those sockless loafers look hot on the two college guys. This stylish look works best for younger guys with attractive, well-maintained feet that can be shown off when those shoes are slipped off in the library or wherever.

I am almost fifty. I grew up “preppy” – buying Lacoste at outlets at the beach in Delaware, wearing Lily and espadrilles, topsiders and 501’s. My uncles, one of them 6″5 and 250 lbs wore blue pants with red crabs, loafers with no socks and polo shirts. Yes, the ribbon belts, too. They all had their suits made in Georgetown, Washington, at the same place for decades. Brooks Brothers was de rigueur. For me, it never really went out so I am glad it’s back in. It’s comfortable, neat and colorful. What’s there not to like?

One of those storefront shots is also of the J.Press in Harvard Square. Which last I checked was still there selling the exact same clothing, so ring ‘em up.

And several of the pictures from Dartmouth/Hanover.
One is of the old boathouse and the second is a view from Main St. looking across the Green to Baker Tower…None of these still exist. The Hanover Inn has been remade several times and there is a new boat house.
