GQ + CFDA | Best New Menswear Designers in America.

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of attending the men’s party of fashion week. The GQ + CFDA Best New Menswear Designers in America party at Rockefeller Center. The who’s who of men’s fashion (ahem, ye humble publicist included) was present to toast of the new blood. It is always entertaining to have so many well put-together gentlemen at the same event. I took pictures, but as always the white wine got in the way – so I defer to men.style.com and the much respected Billy Farrell and Refinery29 for the images.

I really love all of the brands involved (and I buy them all at retail). But I have to say I am rooting for Simon Spurr. Not only is he talented, he’s a really nice guy.

I like what Steven Alan had to say to Refinery29:

And what’s your personal style all about? Disheveled. I have a chair in my bedroom that has 20 shirts on it because I have no more room in my closet. Every morning I just peel the shirt off the top.

I feel the same way. Guys are lazy and we get points for it – it’s called disheveled!

Mister Steven Alan.
